No-Fuss Apple Tart
This gorgeous apple tart is kind of on the rustic side. No fancy tart shells here. Instead, this tart is all about that fan of sliced apples. Baked together with the tart and then covered in a shiny apple marmalade glaze.

I love how easy this apple tart is to make. Itโs no -fuss. You donโt need to bake the tart shell separately to the filling or even make the tart dough and allow it to cool. It all bakes together. But above everything I love the fan of thinly sliced apples on top and how shiny they look once the tart is baked and then
What does apple tart taste like?
Glorious! Anything with apples has that wonderful hit of acidity from the apples. Couple it with a crispy tart shell, and a shiny apple glaze and you have something pretty spesh and delicious!
What are the ingredients I need for the apple tart?
All-purpose flour – also known as plain flour.
Brown sugar – light or dark will work.
Salt – I used fine salt
Cinnamon powder – this adds a wonderful sweetness to the tart shell and filling.
Unsalted butter – you can use salted if you wish.
Granny smith apples – I used green apples also known as granny smith apples. You want to make sure you core the apples to get rid of the pips, peel them and then slice them in half before thinly slicing them.
Lemon – weโll just be using the lemon juice in this recipe.
Caster sugar – also known as superfine sugar
Apple marmalade – you can use apricot preserve instead if you wish.
Letโs go through each step.

My Top Tips!
- When making the dough, work quickly. Once that melted butter hots the flour it needs to be mixed and not left in the flour otherwise your dough will be dry.
- Make sure when arranging the

Made this and loved it. Just wondering if I can make part or all ahead of time to serve hot on the day?
Hi Mish! thanks! Hmm, I think you should be ok to do that and bake later that day, but no longer than 12 hours after it’s been put together ๐ N x
